Rt 536 is super twisty and tight, but surface condition is pretty rough.  Also, we ran across a lot of 2' wide tar strips across entire width of road yesterday.  Some inconveniently located mid-corner.  Wide tar strips + hot day + lean angle = trouble.  Ask Mike Stelmach (good save!)

yeah.. i now know what frost heaves are. :)

would be such an awesome road w/out those. i would even venture to say it would have been just fine w/ the surface it had w/out those tar strips.

There has to be better ways of taking care of roads..

It's been that way since last fall. Yes it sucks. Those are not frost heaves BTW. You have to ride  in Vermont to appreciate what frost heaves are. Looks to me like they were installing drainage pipes or something and did a crappy job of fixing the pavement when done. There are some on 556 too.
I had heard someone previously refer to them as frost heaves.  Earlier last year, they were bumps essentially where there are now those tar strips.  In either case, they suck.  That road would be heaven with some fresh pavement.
Yes , they where drainage pipes ,last year bumps , them they came back and ground /cut down all the bumps and tared them,  dont know whats worse , the bumps before each turn or the tar strips?
hmm.. i'll take bumps. tar strips seem "passive aggressive" to me and I've had enough of that lately (wink wink)
