Ironically, we're talking about going to Gettysburg in another moto-meetup group right now, too. John's right...it'd be a real beast to try and do that as a single-day thing, unless you just plan to turn around once you get there, and then you'd still be dodging deer in your headlights most of the way home.

hey rick, am interested but took a ride that way 2 years ago, east 131, and 30 made it to chambersburg and back to pgh with just short stops for ice cream, gas, lunch and smoke breaks did not get home till late in the night. not the greatest biking roads. but cannot find better routes in to gettysburg. do not want to step on your ride, but you may want to consider staying over. if you plan on tour of the town, battle field, etc.
